big things happening!

Today was our next appointment with Dr. G and it went great!  I had no idea what to expect at all.  I thought since maybe the endometriosis had been removed he may want us to try naturally (along with Clomid) first, but he recommended Intrauterine Insemination or IUI, right away.  He said because of the length of time we have been trying that IUI would be best.  I was a little shocked, but we didn't even hesitate and said, let's do it!

Next on the agenda is to start Clomid on Friday as long as my insurance authorizes the prescription in time (and they better!).  Then on the 18th we go back down to Peoria for an ultrasound to make sure that my follicles are measuring what they need to & if they are, I will be injected with a hormone and have the procedure done the next day.  That's actually two weeks from today!  I can't believe how quickly it's all happening, but after trying for two years & really testing the limits of my patience, I'm happy to move as fast as we possibly can.  Patience, praying, crossing fingers, fate, all of those things can only take you so far. There is a point where some kind of medical intervention needs to happen & we came to that point & I'm so glad that we did.  So so crazy that we've come to this point, but so exciting!

As with anything in life, there are always chances that things won't work out, but I'm focusing on positive thoughts and positive vibes as I always have with this process, as hard as it sometimes may be.  I can't wait to see what this next month has in store for us!
